Guided tour

Hello! Thanks for coming, it's so nice to see you. Let me take your coat. You've never been here before have you, would you like to see the house? Shall I give him the old grand tour, honey? Ha ha. Well allrighty then! First stop is the little downstairs bathroom, isn't it tiny? It makes Richard nervous to even be in there, he goes upstairs. I kid you not! And here we have the door to the basement, we'll just peek down, no need to go down there unless it's quote-unquote absolutely necessary. Look, you can see those dangling wires, can you see them from here? There's a funny story about those, remind me to tell you. Okay here we have the dining room, as you can see Richard's almost ready to serve the soup! Look at the west wall, see that wall? We used to have a dog who would bark at that wall in the middle of the night. Remember honey? One morning we woke up and he was gone. He must have gotten out somehow, who knows. We never got another dog after that. Okay, upstairs we go, watch this first step, it's tricky. See these three photos on the wall as we go up? Here's a fun game: tell me what's strange about the third one. Yes there will be a quiz! Okay, here's our son's bedroom. As you can see it's been kept exactly as it was that terrible day. I clean and dust in here all the time, like he's going to come waltzing in any minute! Actually we did have to repaint that corner, it took three coats to cover the stains. Matching the paint was a challenge, let me tell you. Okay, next door we have our daughter's room. She's away at school right now, but she still stays in her old room during the summer. Oh the funniest thing, one time during Spring Term last year I came out of the shower and I heard Missy's music coming from this room, real quiet and tinny, like from headphones? Well, I march over and open the door and there she is! Sprawled out on the bed, headphones on, with her sketchbook open and her pencils. And it simply threw me, I could've sworn she was at college a thousand miles away. So I asked her what was up and when did she get home and all that, and you know Missy, try getting a straight answer out of that girl. Anyway, a couple of hours later I brought up some coconut crinkle cookies for her, just out of the oven, and when I opened the door she wasn't there. I looked around, all over the house, no Missy! So I called her dorm and she answered, and well you can imagine my surprise! Isn't that something? Anyway, here's the master bath, look at this new tile, we had the whole thing redone do you like it?
