False noir syndrome

In my dream, I am sitting at a craps table in a luxurious but somewhat gone-to-seed foreign casino, presumably Rio. I'm thinking this comes from a recent viewing of Mulholland Dr., since in that movie Rita takes her name from a framed movie poster of Gilda, starring Rita Hayworth, a movie I love and what's not to love after all? Anyway, I'm in this casino and the air is, as they say, thick with intrigue and passion, smoldering glances, shady characters exchanging significant nods, and so on. Very forties noir feel. Humphrey Bogart, or someone who recalls Humphrey Bogart, is holding the dice. Lauren Bacall, or someone Bacallesque, is by his side. Okay, so it's sorta Casablanca-ish, except with Lauren Bacall not Ingrid Bergman. Whatever.

Bogart is smoking a cigarette, in that way he did so well. He's looking extremely relaxed and confident, even though in the dream logic it's known to everyone at the table, perhaps everyone in the casino, that Bogey's luck has deserted him, a string of losses, people all over Rio have his markers. A lot is riding on this toss. He's glancing over his cigarette smoke at Bacall, who seems coolly unconcerned by Bogey's precarious situation. She stares at him in that stunning sort of head-tilted-down-but-eyes-looking-up manner. His cigarette seems glued to the corner of his lips, and he speaks to her in low tones:

"You worried? You don't look worried."

Bacall smiles ever so slightly, you could miss it if you weren't absolutely in love with her face, utterly staring. "Since the day I met you, it's not you I worry about, it's me."

He gestures toward her with his cupped hand which hold the dice. "Wanna blow on 'em? You know, for good luck?" He smiles.

She smiles wryly, one corner of her closed mouth raised. Her voice is barely above a whisper:

"If I blow on 'em, you'll know your luck has changed..."

So this is obviously a variation on the famous Bacall line from To Have and Have Not, but maybe I took it from a different movie and don't remember. I guess it's better than suddenly remembering how I was taken aboard an alien spacecraft and given a physical against my will.
